Purchase the card in order to collect the water directly from the spring.
Since the 1960s at the latest, the private spring’s area has been opened to the public, in accordance to the Massenzi family’s will. Not only did people used to go there to buy and enjoy the refreshing water but also to escape from heat of the summer and spend some relaxing moments along with their families. For these reason Foligno has always showed a special attachment to the springs as well as to the near abbey.

Sassovivo’s mineral water
At about 600 meters above sea level and inside “Grotta dell’orso” the pure mineral water gushes out from the rock (here the name). Water has a low fixed residual part, a perfect equilibrium of salts in it dissolved, a constant temperature of 9,5 degrees Celsius.
Thanks to its properties it is recommended for low-sodium diets and for newborns.
Today, the water can be collected through automatic distributors, just outside the factory, and bottled at Bar – Punto Ristoro.
